Official records show no life signs beneath the surface sectors of Forge Sector ███████. No authorised troop movements, no registered conflict.

And yet… there is noise.

Isolated sensorium array pings that vanish before triangulation. Power drains in unconnected grids. The echo of weapons fire, too faint to be logged as engagement. Heat blooms that fade before a targeting solution can be achieved.

If the data is genuine, then somewhere below the hollow Machinery Quater a war is being fought — one too small to mark on any tactical display, one too dangerous to acknowledge. For to confirm it would be to invite extermination protocols that would scour every heat source, every breath, from the sector.

Down there, in corridors mapped only in memory, the battle never ends. Skirmishes in the dark. Blades flashing in the dim glow of failed lumen-strips. Shots fired and answered without witnesses.

No victory can be declared, no defeat admitted.

The war is unseen. The war is unending. And if the rumours are true, its warriors would not have it any other way.
